Work Without Limits regularly offers educational and networking events for employers, service providers, and individuals with disabilities. Our events include, but are not limited to, career fairs, our annual Raise the Bar HIRE! conference, as well as our annual Disability Mentoring Day.

Work Without Limits 2019 Events

The Nuts & Bolts of SSI and SSDI, Public Health Insurance and Other Public Benefits

Description: This training focuses on how earnings from work affects SSI, SSDI, Medicaid, Medicare and other public benefits such as subsidized housing and food stamps. This training also includes an extensive review of the work incentives associated with each benefit and how they can be leveraged to assist individuals with disabilities to transition into employment or increase earnings without jeopardizing benefits. This training is geared toward employment professionals, case managers, peer specialists, and rehabilitation counselors. Participants should attend both days to gain a firm understanding.

  • May 21-22, 2019. American Training, Andover, MA
  • June 12-13, 2019. UMass Medical School South Street Campus, Shrewsbury, MA (ASL Interpreters Available)
  • June 18-19, 2019. BAMIS, Brockton, MA

Supporting the Career Development of College Students with Mental Health Conditions

Description: This 2 hour workshop will provide employment service providers and college staff an overview of how mental health conditions can impact the educational and employment skill development of college students as well as key strategies for providers to help students achieve their main goals. Reasonable accommodations, wellness management and supervisory strategies will be discussed.

Audience: Staff of universities and community colleges, one stop career centers, state agencies, and community-based organizations that provide job search support and placement assistance services to job and intern seeking students and adults with disabilities.
