Assistive Technology

For Providers

Assistive technology helps people with disabilities independently participate in activities

The technology can range from common sense “low technology” solutions such as timers, Velcro®, and calculators to more advanced technology such as wheelchairs, computers, and talkers.

While assistive technology often helps people with significant physical disabilities, it can also be helpful to individuals who have a range of disability and support needs.
